Specialising in hand fabricated jewellery crafted from silver and glass.

Violet May’s designs embrace patterns of symmetry, geometry and simple botanical form, a love of art nouveau, art deco and the arts and crafts.

Based in the historic town of Belper, Derbyshire, Sarah of Violet May, crafts her jewellery from conception through to completion.

All pieces comprise of jewellery formed by hand using Argentium^® silver wire, sheet and chain. Inclusions of her own lamp work and kiln formed glass adorn many examples of her work.

Through Violet May, Sarah continues to grow and evolve creatively, drawing on a foundation of skills learned from master craftsman jeweller and silversmith John Blackburn, and from the study of hot and cold glass working techniques during an enriching year at the University of Wolverhampton.
